KCB Karen Masters 2019 receives record entries


The 2019 KCB Karen Masters is over subscribed. According to the Sunshine Tour offices in Cape Town, more than 140 South Africa based golf professionals have applied to play in Karen.

 

The event will include four (4) elite amateur golfers, whose names will be submitted by the Kenya Golf Union, around 30 locally based golf professionals whose names will be submitted by the Professional Golfers of Kenya and another 20 East and West African based golf professionals who be directly invited by the Karen Country Club.

 

The Sunshine Tour will send in 100 golf professionals largely based in South Africa. They will include defending champion Michael Palmer, currently ranked 23rd on the Sunshine Tour ranking. Nine of the top ten players on the Tour ranking are registered to play in Kenya, they include Daniel Van Tonder (1st), JC Ritchie (2nd), Callum Mowat (3rd), Garrick Higgo (5th), Martin Rohwer (6th), Thriston Lawrence (7th), Neil Schietekat (8th), Jacques Blaauw (9th) and Steve Surry (10th).

 

The 2019 KCB Karen Masters will be played from the 27th to 30th of June at the Karen Country Club. Tickets are available on www.ke.kcbgroup.com
