Kenyan Premier League side KCB FC is intensifying preparations for its SportPesa League clash against Mathare United, scheduled for October 17, 2026, at Wangu’ru Stadium in Mwea, Kirinyaga County.
The Bankers head into the fixture seeking their first win of the season after settling for a 2-2 draw against Nairobi United in their opening match. Geoffrey Ojunga and Evans Malo were on target for KCB FC in an entertaining encounter that offered an early glimpse of the team’s attacking potential.
“We had a positive start to the season, and although we would have preferred to collect all three points, the opening match gave us valuable lessons. We have identified areas that need improvement, and our focus is on working collectively as a team, sharpening our performance, and preparing well for Mathare United. We are determined to compete for maximum points,” noted KCB FC Head Coach Robert Matano.
