KCB Chess Team Eyes Historic 10th Kenya Chess Premier League Title

Nine-time local champions KCB Chess Club will be aiming to move a step closer to a record-extending 10th Kenya Chess Premier League title when the National Chess League resumes this weekend at Sports View Hotel, Kasarani.

The bankers, who have enjoyed another impressive campaign, will be among the top teams in action during the league fixtures scheduled for Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, as they seek to consolidate their position at the top of the standings with only a handful of matches left in the season. KCB has maintained a strong title charge throughout the campaign, keeping its rivals at bay in pursuit of yet another domestic crown.

“The team has prepared well for this weekend’s fixtures, and the players understand what is at stake. Every match is important at this stage of the season because we are chasing our 10th league title. We respect our opponents, but our focus is on delivering consistent performances and finishing the season strongly,” said Magana.
