Defending Kenya Cup Champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team are gearing up for a crucial semifinal clash against Kenya Prisons as the 2026 Kenya Cup enters its decisive stage at the Kasarani Indoor Arena on July 25 and 26.
The bankers head into the encounter in high spirits after claiming the bronze medal in the 2025/2026 Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League playoffs. KCB secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory over DCI in the third-place playoff match last weekend.
Head Coach Japheth Munala said: “The win against DCI gave the players a huge confidence boost after a demanding league campaign. We have shifted our focus to the Kenya Cup, and the team is determined to fight for a place in the final. Kenya Prisons are always a strong opponent, but we have prepared well, and the players understand what is at stake. Our objective is to defend the title, and that journey starts with a disciplined performance in the semifinal.”
