Education and Professional Background:

Bernard Okello is the Credit Director, Credit Division of KCB Bank (K) Ltd.


As a member of the KCB Bank Kenya Executive Committee, he reports to the MD Kenya and oversees Kenya’s Credit function ensuring delivery of enhanced value to our shareholders.


He is a professional banker with 20 years’ management experience in Credit Risk Management in the Commercial Banking industry. He previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank (now Absa Bank) in Kenya, where he headed the Recovery and Collection Functions. He has also served as Head, Credit Support Unit in KCB bank Kenya.


Bernard has an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree from Moi University and a host of Professional qualifications in Banking and Credit Risk management.
