Manager Cloud Infrastructure

The Manager Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for designing, building, and supporting high performance, fault-tolerant, scalable, and distributed Platform as a Service (PaaS) systems using Kubernetes and Kubernetes flavors such as OpenShift. This role will involve working closely with application development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance within the infrastructure. The Manager of Cloud Infrastructure will also play a crucial role in streamlining team processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and driving automation initiatives to support the scaling of digital services. Additionally, they will lead the “Open source first” initiative within the function and provide effective team management to the cloud infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Maintain PaaS Systems: Design, build, and maintain high-performance, fault, Tolerant, scalable, and distributed PaaS systems utilizing Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with Application Development Teams: Interface with application development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications within the infrastructure while prioritizing scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Optimize Processes and Workflows: Establish and enhance team processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity of both people and systems.
  • Automation at Scale: Lead the automation of infrastructure at a massive scale to support the scaling of digital services.
  • Promote Open-Source Initiatives: Drive the adoption of the “Open source first” approach as a fit for the future initiative within the function.
  • Team Management: Provide effective management and leadership to the cloud infrastructure team.

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in ICT-related field or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional qualification/certification in Kubernetes or OpenShift, AWS or Azure Architect/SysOps.
  • Additional Certifications: CI/CD, DevOps, Automation certifications.
  • 5 years’ work experience, with at least:
  • 3 years’ experience in Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift/Containers.
  • 3 years’ experience in RedHat/Linux Administration.
  • 1-year of experience in IT Automation.
  • 1-year experience in Public Cloud Administration.
