Senior Manager, Partnerships

The Senior Manager, Partnerships exists to identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that drive business growth, expand market reach, and enhance value for the Retail Banking business. The partnerships include Government & Non-Governmental Organization, Public & Private Association, Development partners and Distributor/Retailers. The role is responsible for developing partnership strategies, executing initiatives, and managing relationships to deliver sustainable revenue and customer benefits.

Key Responsibilities; -

  1. Partnership Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies aligned with Retail Banking objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize partnership opportunities that create business value.
  • Execute partnership initiatives to deliver measurable growth and customer impact.
  1. Business Development & Growth
  • Drive acquisition of new customers and revenue streams through strategic alliances.
  • Negotiate and structure partnership agreements that optimize commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Monitor performance of partnerships and recommend improvements to maximize value.
  1. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the bank and its strategic partners.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across internal teams to deliver partnership commitments.
  1. Innovation & Market Expansion
  • Leverage partnerships to introduce innovative solutions and expand into new markets.
  • Support the development of digital and lifestyle propositions through collaborations.
  • Track industry trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities.
  1. Risk & Compliance Management
  • Ensure all partnership activities comply with internal policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks related to partnerships and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor governance structures to safeguard the bank’s interests in external collaborations.

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or any relevant degree.
  • 10 years’ work experience, with at least:
  • 10 years’ experience in Sales(essential).
  • 8 years’ experience in Microfinance(essential).
  • 7 years’ experience in Credit Appraisal(essential).
  • 7 years’ experience Portfolio Management(essential).
  • 10 years’ experience General banking(desired)
  • 6 years’ experience in Product Development(desired)
  • 6 years’ experience in Customer care/Relationship Management(essential).
  • 5 years’ experience in People Management
  • 7 years’ experience in Performance Management(essential).
