Product Manager, Digital Payments

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Digital Payments, the role holder is responsible for driving usage of the Bank’s digital payments services like C2B, B2C, Billers etc as well as managing our payment partners.

The role holder will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the digital payments offerings to attract and retain customers, as well as drive revenue through effective solutions.

This will be achieved by maintaining a deep understanding of digital financial services, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities; -

  • Drive growth and performance of the bank’s digital payments products through customer acquisition, driving usage and retention.
  • Contribute to, and execute a comprehensive product strategy for digital payments products, aligning with the overall goals of the Bank.
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, and innovative solutions to meet customer needs and drive engagement.
  • Coordinate the implementation of activities across assigned products in partnership with marketing and customer experience to drive customer engagement and product growth. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technology, marketing, and finance teams, to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Implement customer acquisition strategies to grow the user base for digital wallets and payment products.
  • Analyze customer behavior, preferences, and feedback to refine and optimize product offerings for increased customer retention.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop campaigns and promotions that attract and retain customers.
  • Collaborate with lending teams to ensure a seamless integration of digital payments with lending services.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess the success of digital wallets and payments products initiatives..
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the bank’s products to competitors' products within the financial services industry. 

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  1.  A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  2. Professional qualification in Product Management, Project Management or AGILE Practices is an added advantage. 
  3.  At least five(5) years in relevant experience in digital product management, including specific experience in the following areas:
  • 3 years’ experience in Digital Payments/Wallets/ C2B, B2C, Billers etc. (essential).
  • 2 years’ experience in Delivery of digital consumer products in a high growth environment. (essential).
  • 1-year experience in Project Management/ Delivery(Desired). 
  • 1-year experience in Financial Services Sales & Service(essential).
  • 3 years’ experience in Stakeholder management(essential).
  • 2 years’ experience in People management(essential).
