KCB RFC has set its focus on reclaiming the National Sevens Circuit, which is set to kick off on July 26-27, 2025, with the six-leg series kicking off with Driftwood 7s at Mombasa Sports Club hosted by Mombasa RFC.
The Bankers lost the National Sevens Title in 2024 after finishing 3rd in the overall standings behind defending champions Kenya Harlequins and archrivals Kabras RFC. The Bankers finished the 2024/25 15s rugby league on the low after failing to clinch any silverware across all the competitions.
“This has been a tough season for the KCB Rugby Team. We emerged short in the Floodies Tournament against Blakblad, got hooked out of the Enterprise Cup in the Semis by Kabras RFC and Kenya Cup Semis by Menengai Oilers.
This shows stronger teams are coming up and we need to get back to the drawing board, work extra hard as we prepare for the National Sevens Circuit and the new 15 season later on in the year,” KCB FC Head Coach, Oliver Mang’eni.
