KCB RC to Face Impala in Season Opener
Former Kenya Cup champions KCB Rugby Club will kick off their 2025/2026 campaign this Saturday at the Den with a high-stakes clash against Impala Club.
The Bankers, who endured a rare trophyless run in the 15s format last season, head into the new campaign with renewed ambition following several key signings and adjustments to the technical bench.
Interim head coach Andrew Amonde believes the team is ready to set the tone early: “This season is about resetting and reclaiming our standards. The boys have worked hard during preseason, and the new additions have brought fresh energy. Impala is always a tough opener, but we want to start strong and show what KCB rugby is all about.”
KCB FC Set for Crucial Away Clash Against Mara Sugar
KCB FC will travel to Awendo this Saturday for a pivotal league encounter against Mara Sugar as they push to climb out of the lower end of the table.
The Bankers, who played out a goalless draw against BIDCO United last Friday, currently sit 15th with eight points after a tough run of fixtures that has seen them lose three times and draw twice in their last five matches.
Head coach Robert Matano remains confident that his squad can respond with character. He said: “We know where we are on the table and we know what must be done. The performances have been improving, but now we need goals and we need wins. The boys are focused, and we are going to Awendo, ready to fight for three points.”
